Haroon Lorgat set to join Sri Lanka Cricket as consultant

According to sources Former International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Haroon Lorgat is all set to join Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) as a consultant.

In his planned new role with SLC, Lorgat is likely to assist the board in revamping its domestic cricket structure, and advise it on finances and governance.

Cole Hamels knew the moment he walked off the mound to a standing ovation after allowing five runs in his last start that he was staying with the Philadelphia Phillies.

He had $144 million other reasons to stay, too.

Brett Lee Announce Goodbye to International Cricket

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee leave from international cricket on Friday, present days after he was forced to come back to home from England after nourishing another injury and a few months ago he had pencilled in a possible exit from the game.

The 35-year-old, Brett Lee who first announced his decision on his personal network Twitter page, continued a right calf strain in the 4th one day match of Australia's limited over’s tour of England and was forced to return home for further examination and treatment.

Roger Federer won the 2012 Wimbledon Championship Title

Today’s 2012 Wimbledon Finals Roger Federer against Andy Murray. Final Roger Federer won the 2012 Wimbledon title. Roger Federer his career seventh time won the Wimbledon title.

The 30-year-old Roger Federer finally equalled Pete Sampras' record at the All England Club, and won his 17th Grand Slam title overall, by beating Andy Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 Sunday.

''It has worked out so many times over the years here at Wimbledon that I play my best in the semis and the finals,'' Federer said. ''I couldn't be happier. It feels great being back here as the winner.''

FIFA raises interdict on Islamic headscarves

An interdict on the use of the Islamic headscarf, or hijab, for Muslim women soccer players was lifted by the sport's rule makers on Thursday.

The garment had previously been banned due to safety concerns and because it was not recognized in the laws of the game.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) unanimously overturned the ban and agreed to re-write the laws after studying reports from FIFA's medical officer.
